HVAC Installer Helper / Assistant – No Experience Required

Link Service Heating & Cooling | Altoona, PA

Pay: $18.00–$22.00 per hour, based on experience

What You'll Be Doing

As an Assistant HVAC Installer, you'll work alongside experienced installers to help install heating and air conditioning systems in residential homes.

Your daily responsibilities will include:

• Assisting with the installation of furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, boilers, and other HVAC equipment.

• Learning to use HVAC tools, equipment, and installation techniques.

• Helping install ductwork, piping, and other system components.

• Loading, unloading, and organizing equipment and materials.

• Maintaining clean, organized, and safe work areas.

• Working with your team to provide customers with a great experience.

This is an entry-level position with opportunities to develop your skills and advance into a Lead Installer role.

• Dependable, punctual, and ready to work each day.

• Mechanically inclined and enjoys working with their hands.

• Willing to learn new skills and accept coaching.

• Able to follow directions and work well with a team.

• Takes pride in doing quality work and treating customers with respect.

• Holds a valid driver's license and meets company vehicle insurance requirements.

• High school diploma or equivalent.

• Comfortable performing physical work, using ladders, and working in basements, attics, crawl spaces, and varying weather conditions, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Experience with hand tools, construction, automotive repair, or other mechanical work is a plus, but not required.

Schedule & Location

• Full-time position, 40+ hours per week.

• Monday through Friday, with overtime and occasional weekend work as needed.

• Report to our Altoona office each morning before traveling to job sites throughout the surrounding area.
