Position Summary

Randstad Digital is seeking a high-caliber Senior Solution Architect UKG & SAP Time/Payroll to lead a multi-phase Enterprise Timekeeping System transformation for a major transport enterprise headquartered in Washington, DC.

Serving as the primary Subject Matter Expert, you will bridge technical and functional gaps to migrate unionized workforce groups off legacy timekeeping systems onto UKG, ensuring seamless integration with core SAP Time and Payroll modules. This role requires a hands-on strategic leader who can break design stalemates across active project phases, align cross-functional technical teams, and establish scalable workforce management architecture through FY2027.

Key Responsibilities

  • Architect Enterprise Integration: Lead the technical design and integration strategy connecting UKG (Ultimate Kronos Group) timekeeping software with core SAP Time and Payroll systems.

  • Resolve Design Stalemates: Unblock critical architectural and functional design decisions across remaining project phases to keep the union timekeeping migration on schedule.

  • Union Rules & Policy Configuration: Translate complex collective bargaining agreements, union pay rules, and compliance standards into robust UKG and SAP time/payroll configurations.

  • Stakeholder & Technical Leadership: Partner closely with enterprise technology leaders, VMO stakeholders, and business unit directors to align technical roadmaps with operational constraints.

  • Data Harmonization & Quality: Establish scalable data mapping, interface standards, and payroll processing workflows between legacy systems, UKG, and SAP.

  • Flexible Execution: Drive program delivery without relying on strict PI planning cadences, maintaining momentum across cross-functional groups.

Required Qualifications & Technical Skills

  • Dual Domain Expertise: Proven experience operating as a Lead or Senior Solution Architect with combined expertise in UKG (Kronos) enterprise workforce management and SAP Time/Payroll modules.

  • Union Timekeeping Background: Direct experience architecting time and attendance solutions for large-scale, unionized enterprise workforces with complex pay rules.

  • Systems Migration Track Record: Hands-on leadership in multi-phase legacy system migrations to modern cloud or hybrid workforce management environments.

  • Technical Integration Skills: Extensive knowledge of API integration, middleware, and data mapping between UKG and SAP ERP platforms.

Mandatory Compliance & Interview Requirements

  • Work Authorization: Candidate must be authorized to work without sponsorship.

  • Pre-Employment Screenings: Background check and drug screen required.
